NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Davidson County COVID-19 Assessment Center located at Meharry Medical College will cease operations at the close of business Friday, May 28, 2021.
The COVID-19 Task Force in partnership with Meharry Medical College decided to cease operations at the Meharry Medical College Community Assessment Center because of the community’s vaccination level and a reduction in demand for testing for COVID-19.
The Meharry Medical College COVID-19 Community Assessment Center has provided 91,078 COVID-19 tests since it first opened in March 2020.
The COVID-19 Community Assessment Center located at Nissan Stadium and the Vaccination Center located at the site of the Former Kmart will continue operating following the Memorial Day Holiday. Both sites are closed on Monday, May 31, 2021, in observance of Memorial Day.
The centers will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Services at both centers are free to the public.
The COVID-19 Hotline is also closed on Memorial Day. The Hotline number is 615-862-7777 and will resume operation on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
